Robin Wong
Robin Wong, a man of principle and generosity, passed away May 1, 2007 as a result of complications following a heart attack. He will be remembered by all who knew him for his quirky humor and passionate advocacy. A member of the Berkley Hillside Club, he served for 5 years on its board as treasurer and was also chairman of the club’s dance assembly. He loved to dance and travel and managed to find an Argentine tango almost everywhere he went. He was a tireless worker who took all responsibilities with the utmost seriousness. He will be sadly missed by his co-workers at Partition Specialties, where he served as CFO for the last 18 years, as well as his many dance and travel companions at the Hillside and Vicente Clubs.Robin will be remembered for his love of Paris and eclectic tastes in music, his passion for tango and travel, his love of food and avid recycling habits, his thoughtfulness and kindness, but most of all for his fierce loyalty to family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife Barbara, his two sons, Darren and Corey, his sister Kitty, her husband Arthur Okamura, his niece Stephanie, her husband David Coupe and their two children, William and Lindsay.
Services will be held at Chapel of the Chimes, 4499 Piedmont Avenue, Oakland, CA 94611 on Sunday, May 6, 2007 at 11:00 am and will be followed by a traditional Chinese luncheon at the Silver Dragon Restaurant, 835 Webster Street, Oakland, CA 94607.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Robin’s name to the San Lorenzo High School Scholarship fund. Contributions may be sent to San Lorenzo High School, 50 E. Lewelling Boulevard, San Lorenzo, CA 94850. For more information please call (510) 317-3100.

Dear Barbara, What a beautiful and fitting tribute to Robin. We definitely will miss him very much!! He has left a great mark on all of us and there will be a void, but he has also left us with some fond and funny memories of him.
We know you and your family are going through some very sad times now but please know that Ken and I are always here. If you ever need anything or anyone, please do not hesitate to ask us.

This is a very sad day.
I will always remember Robin with his short visits over to our place on Bay Ave in Rio Nido.
We would welcome his visits with news of the Chan and Wong family.

Quirky humor, love of dance (especially Tango) and willingness to take on almost any project were but a few of Robin's finer attributes.
Behind all of them was a warm and quick-witted man who will be much missed by those who shared his sense of irony and his devilish wit.
